Our brand was founded to honor the Third Root of Mexican heritage: the African men and women who, seeking freedom, carved out a life in the rugged landscapes of Mexico.
The story of the Cimarrones—those who escaped colonial bondage to form independent communities—is a story of resilience, adaptation, and the birth of a new culture. Cochica is our tribute to that enduring spirit.
